I've made a new committment to update the blog more regularly (heh, yeah right).

Over Thanksgiving weekend my grandma from Roseburg came over, along with the one from SE Portland. This was the first Thanksgiving in a long time the whole family didn't get together, but all my cousins are in college and it was just too hard. We will try to get something big together for Christmas, probably in Roseburg.

Thanksgiving was good except for one thing... NO GRAVY. My dad's method of cooking the Turkey on the BBQ backfired when all the juice evaporated, leaving us with no gravy. I went out after dinner and bought some packaged gravy at Haggen's, but by then it was too late. Sad time for all.

For dessert we had either pumkin pie or german chocolate cake. Both were good.

On Friday I had part of my toenail removed, and that hurt like you wouldn't believe (just the shot really... right into the boney toe flesh), but it feels better now. I have to read a stupid play for English... I'm putting that off. Oh well.

D'oh! Both cursed teams lost... most crappy, boring World Series ever.

No matter, cause during game one, instead of watching it on FOX, wing over to WTBS and watch the #21 Oregon State Beavers play against the Washington Huskies. Word of warning... there will be lots of violence and carnage... with graphic images of dogs being ripped to pieces.

Our soccer team actually played to a tie today, raising our record for the year to 1-1-2. Much better pace than last years 1-6-1. I had an assist, but only got to play one half, because during the first half I was taking the PSAT, which I think I did okay on.

Tis all.

HOLY COW! CUBBIES WIN! Cubs won a series for the first time since 1908... they were just about as pathetic as the Beavers were. Way to go Cubs!

Beavers 0wned the California Bears, who beat #3 USC last week, 35-21, on the road. They were 1-7 in their last 8 road games, so this was big. Oregon State now is finally getting respect, ranked 25th in the country (although they are more like 15th).

Ducks lost to UTAH.... UTAH of all people. They fall from the rankings, in which they didn't deserve to be in, and now have lost two straight and are starting to look like last year. It's been fun watching people jump off the bandwagon after this loss. And Michigan, who the Ducks beat in the biggest so called win in state football history, lost to a crappy Iowa team and are now 18th in the rankings... not so impressive now.

Aside from sports, nothing in my life is exciting. Oh, we tied our soccer game 4-4, we played on some really nice AstroTurf, but I rolled my ankle on it, and now its hard to walk and my ankle is all puffy. Other than that... oh go Red Sox, this is nothing else.

Cubs win! 4-2!
Lastest Updates....

The essay I took mentioned earlier I managed to get a B on, so yay me. Right now I have an 88% percent in English which is awesome considering how hard it is.

Last weekend was one of the greatest in recent memory. It started out with me playing my first soccer game of the season and losing 0-4 (expected) then I came home to watch the Oregon Ducks play the Washington State Cougars. #10 Oregon...

LOST 55-16 IN THEIR OWN STADIUM

in the worst blowout they have been involved in since 1981. This after getting shit from their fans all week about how they were going win the national chamionship. Then my Oregon State Beavers played the #24 Sun Devils and

WON 45-17

in convincing fashion. Ducks get blown out, Beavers win big... what can be better?

As for baseball, I'm rooting for the cursed teams in the playoffs this year, so go Cubbies and Red Sox. Twins and Marlins, you go too.

Tualatin, after finishing last season 2-6, is now 4-0 in football after a 26-22 road victory at Newberg. They are also now ranked #14 in the state, but have to face #2 (#1 on some polls) Canby on Friday in the homecoming game. They will probably lose, but ah well.

'Tis all.
FROM 9/23/03

Update:

Tualatin won their football game 32-21 against Newberg, so we are now 3-0!

Portland State got shut out in the most boring game I've seen, 0-23, and have dropped from the I-AA top 25 rankings.

Oregon State beat Boise State 26-24, and played very well, giving us Beaver fans some hope for this season.

Mariners suck.

School, same old, same old. Had a huge in class essay today in English that I think I bombed... not good. Anywho.

Well, Portland State is now ranked #22 in DI-AA, so thats good. English sucked today, have to write a huge in class essay about the book we just read. I think I did okay though... that's all.

Today was a good day. Beavers won, 28-16, and it was very stressful to listen to it over the radio since it wasn't on TV. I get frantic when I can't see everything that is happening. Ah well. Then I went to the Portland State game, it was a great game. They beat #20th ranked Nichols State 44-37 in an offensive blowout, winning in the last minute with a touchdown. Crowd went crazy. Now I'm back home... so yeah. Probably do homework all of tomorrow.
Well, the first full week of school is finally over. Actually it went pretty fast, and I didn't have TOO much homework, so it's all good. My schuedle this weekend.

1. Read "Johnny Got His Gun"
2. Watch College Football
3. Read "Johnny Got His Gun"
4. Go to PSU football game
5. Read "Johnny Got His Gun"
6. Watch College Football
7. Check a few NFL scores
8. Read "Johnny Got His Gun"
9. Do other homework

And I don't know if Tualatin won or lost their away football game today because oregonlive.com is refusing to post the score. *sniff*

Today wasn't too bad... since it was all hard classes it went by very fast, in fact this week has flown by. Can't believe its already Wednesday... IB Junior English actually doesn't have a large homework load, we just do a few huge projects throughout the year that are the majority of your grade, so as long as I can pull a B or so out of my ass on those, I'm good. Uhhh, I'll be picking up last years yearbook tomorrow after school, today the line was huge. That's about it.

Was a crappy day today weather wise. In the morning it was raining when I went to school, and the ground was all wet, but not muddy.... yet. That happens in a few weeks, then I ruin my shoes when I go to school yay! If I didn't live the f*cking rich white capital (besides Lake Oswego) in Oregon maybe I could afford a damn parking permit for situations like these. Gah. Good amount of homework tonight, but all the answers can be found in the backs of books.

Monday, September 08, 2003

Well, not much homework tonight, I had a hella lot on Sunday, but tonight all I had to do was half ass my math packet. In IB Junior English we have to give this really hard speech about a book and "go beyond the obvious" and it has to be at least 10 minutes long. Gah. Spanish is also going to be hell. Since we are in Spanish IV, and its a "college level course" we are expected to read long articles and understand all of it, helping on the test the next day over the material. Bah. Lunch was rushed cause there was road construction on the main road to the restaurants, so that stalled us for a while, got back and had time to eat though before English. I need to read my book and then go to bed... but that will be after many random activities I'll find to do. Only four more days!!!!!!!!

Friday, September 05, 2003

Second day of school today. Math teacher sucks.... but everything else is good. Some jackass blew past me and Kenny in the parking lot, flipped us off, and blew a stop sign. Reallllll coool. I will probably go to the highschool football game and listen to the first half of the Beavers game on the radio.

Thursday, September 04, 2003

Well, had my first day of school. Today... nothing very new, same old routine. All my teachers are cool so far, and although the classes are hard, I don't think they will be overly boring. Had a steak quesadila (sp?) for lunch, twas good.
